MeetingPoint is an open source software, released under GPLv3 license, developed by the TEL Lab of the Computer Science Department, University of Piemonte Orientale to facilitate live communication and interaction.

Modularity, ease of use and the integration in Moodle's synchronous activities set, are the goals that have driven our project. Modularity is the most interesting feature: third party developers can add external components using the MeetingPoint APIs.

MeetingPoint was thought as a videoconference tool, but thanks to its core structure, it is possible to extend it to support any online collaborative application such as virtual labs, 3D simulators and also games!
